Project Overview

The Watta Wella Renewable Energy Project is located 16 kilometres north-east of Stawell in north-west Victoria.

The Watta Wella Renewable Energy Project’s site was chosen for good wind speeds, proximity to the Bulgana Substation, ideal location and terrain for construction, low environmental impacts and complementary use of land with farming activities.

The site sits across approximately 4,850 hectares of agricultural farm land.

The project will be able to effectively co-exist with the existing agricultural use of the land and will occupy less than 2% of the total land area.
