June 2026 - Planning Permit Approved
The Victorian Government’s Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) has now granted a planning permit for the project. You can view the decision and conditions of consent here:
This marks a key milestone and allows the project to move into the next stage of development.

What this means
The project has completed its planning assessment process
We await a decision from the minister for Planning for the Environment Report expected in July 2026
We await Federal approval under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) expected in August 2026.
What happens next
Over the coming months, we will:
Focus on detailed design of the project
Progress secondary approvals and additional technical studies
